Greetings from Kitale, Kenya.

We are all fine and all the orphans send their best regards to you and your family, with hopes that you are all fine too. On December 25th every year, people go to church to remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, after which, they go back home to have special meals and thereafter exchange gifts.

But the orphans at Grace4needy centre in Kitale - Kenya will do it differently this year ; the 21 orphans will remain indoors from 6am to 6pm on December 25th. Inside their living room they will not be eating or exchanging gifts, but rather praying and fasting as they pray for all of our sponsors and supporters, that God will bless them in a very special way by providing answers to their needs, prayers, questions, etc.

The orphans together with their foster parents have the oportunity to  spend that day in the presence of God for all of our supporters wherever they are. We have all the names of our supporters and we will also pray for those who are not known to us but they support us. God knows their names and their homes, He will bless you all on our behalf.

The second part of our prayers will be for our orphans who will be joining high school soon, that God will open up a door for their high school fees. Their names are; Davies, John, Robert, Stanley & Walter. And then, that we will get funds to continue with our various projects.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

God bless you so richly.
In Him,
Danie.
Peace!

Let's play chess!

Every year at TeenStreet you have one or two teenagers that demand a lot of time and energy. Those teens that disagree with everything, don't want to be there (at least that is what they say), threaten to go home, etc.
And this year again we had L. with us who was not happy with his small group leader or any of his fellow teens. He claimed that church, God and religion is only for his mother and sister, but not for him. Someone with a real attitude problem!!

After him, having insulted several people, being really angry and ready to go home, I had a chance to spend a lot of time with him ‘to deal' with the problem. (not mentioning that several of our French staff have spent a considerable time with him)
And honestly, at that moment you wonder why you spend all that time with one person who messes up things for many others, while you can't spend time with the 150 other French who are behaving, as they should!
It is in those unpleasant hours, where you even wonder why you are involved in the ministry with these type of teenagers!
The best solution for everyone seemed to be for him to go home straight away.

After several hours of talking with him alone and with his group leader, we decided to give him a chance to change. And believe me, we did not have much faith to see a transformation in L.'s life during TeenStreet!

We integrated him in a different group and encouraged him to make things right with the people that had been hurt by his insults! Changing group seemed to be a possibility for L., but making things right with people was out of the question for him!

Guess what? Two days later, in the midst of a crowd of hundreds of teens, someone pulled my arm saying: Let's play chess!!! It was L.!!! This was a very odd way to be approached by someone, we would like to ignore, because we feel we have wasted already enough time with him!

I came to understand that this proposal of playing a game of chess with me, was his way of making things right!!!!

L. comes from a difficult family background. He has issues with anger and attitude. It was only a few weeks after TeenStreet that we found out that L. had accepted Jesus in His life during TeenStreet.

It reminds me of The Shepherd who leaves behind 99 obedient/ go-with-the-flow sheep, to find that one rebellious, hardheaded sheep or The Doctor who comes to heal the sick and not the healthy!!!

God wants to transform those who are hurt by their past and background. Those who can be such a pain in the neck!!

L. and I decided to play chess again next year at TeenStreet!!

The amazing 40 days

Dear friends and brothers in Jesus!!!

For the next 40 days my life takes a very drastic turn. After Jesus came into my heart and getting married this is the most important decision I take as an individual. In the next few lines I will try to explain way and what is all about.

It is all started whit 2 powerful sentence:

It is all about Jesus and I am whit you.

In the last days I heard these sentences again and again all around me ...from intro worship time till prayer. So after praying and asking God about way these comes to me so often, it came dawn that God wants me to make myself available 24/7 for him for the next 40 days. It means, no hobbies, no TV, no distractions, I even took a break from my job for the next 40 days.

So there it is out, for the next 40 days my body and mind will be exposed full time to whatever God want to do into my life or change, or reveal.. I am so Excited to experience God in this way as well...So many bible studies are planned and worship time few times a day ...finally I have the time to read all the bible from the beginning to an end(for a biblical timeline and world view). Together whit some bible commentaries and a pictured map of world chronology from the beginning to this day maybe even using Google earth for some locations finder ... I got as much prepared I can from this side now is God turn to blow me away into the spiritual realms and reveal truth from the word as I go through the scriptures.

It is important to put dawn on paper everything what God will do into this time because when this time is done will all wrap together into a book. So stay tuned on this folowing notes.
